Attorney Jon E. Jessen is the founder of U.S. Immigration Knowledge Blocks.
Attorney Jessen has been practicing U.S. immigration law for more than twenty-
five years. During that time he has represented immigrants before the United
States government in deportation/removal hearings, family visas, U visas,
citizenship, employment cases and appeals.
In addition, Attorney Jessen has represented immigrants before the Board of
Immigration Appeals (BIA) as well as the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. He is
the attorney of record in the precedent case of Matter of Arrabally and Yerrabelly,
25 I&N Dec. 771 (BIA 2012) as well as Melnitsenko v. Mukasey, 517 F.3d 42 (2 nd
Cir. 2008) and Pinto-Montoya v. Mukasey, 540 F.3d 126 (2 nd Cir. 2008).
Attorney Jessen is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association
(AILA). He has appeared as a speaker at AILA conferences on various
immigration topics and is the 2008 recipient of The Honorable Anthony V.
DeMayo Connecticut Bar Association Pro Bono Award.
